2025 Osaka World Expo, Japan China Pavilion Zhejiang Week·Ningbo Day

The red seal falls on the scroll, and the elements of Ningbo are engraved with eternal marks; the melodious Yue music, "Butterfly Lovers" turns into butterflies to interpret the thousand-year romance; the clear sound of celadon, the secret color of Song Dynasty dances the elegance of the times... The 2025 Osaka World Expo in Japan enters the "Ningbo time".

On July 14, the launching ceremony of the Zhejiang Week Ningbo Day event (hereinafter referred to as "Ningbo Day") of the China Pavilion of the 2025 Osaka World Expo with the theme of "Coastal Ningbo, Sailing to the World" was grandly opened at the China Pavilion of the Osaka World Expo in Japan. In the three characteristic exhibition areas of the China Pavilion, Ningbo's ancient and modern culture, characteristic cultural tourism, modern technology and other elements gathered together, through cultural performances, intangible cultural heritage interactions, city promotion, technology exhibitions and other diversified forms, to show the cultural charm and open vitality of Ningbo as a modern coastal metropolis to the global audience.

The event is hosted by Ningbo Municipal People's Government, organized by Ningbo Trade Promotion Council, and co-organized by Ningbo Culture, Broadcasting, Tourism and Municipal Foreign Affairs Office. Nearly 100 people including representatives from sister cities such as Nagaokakyo, Masuda, Ueda, Uwajima, Himi, Japanese friendly people and business representatives, Kansai cultural and tourism representatives and media representatives will attend the launch ceremony.

At this World Expo, companies transformed technical parameters into T-shirts and electric toothbrushes that people can touch. The recycling wisdom hidden in these daily objects allowed Japanese audiences to appreciate the technological innovation of "turning waste into treasure". And this cultural empowerment was immediate: as the only industrial representative of Ningbo at this time, Jianfeng® signed a memorandum of cooperation with Japan's Toray Industries, Ltd., and also gained cross-border cooperation intentions from public welfare organizations and brands.

"Technology speaks logic, and culture connects people's hearts", Ma Yiming said frankly that when the concept of environmental protection meets cultural heritage, not only the customer list has become longer, but the characteristics of Ningbo's "ocean city" have also gone further with these collaborations.

As a technology-based enterprise, Jianfeng®'s innovation path is highly consistent with Ningbo's strategy of building a global smart manufacturing innovation capital. The "Ocean Partner" project is a microcosm of Ningbo's implementation of the "dual carbon" goal. This exhibition is the first city-named special day event of the China Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo, and it is also the first time that Ningbo enterprises have appeared as guests of honor at a top international exhibition. It is worth mentioning that the Osaka Kansai World Expo attaches great importance to marine protection. One of the key exhibition halls, the Blue Ocean Dome (BOD), aims to raise public awareness of marine plastic pollution. The pavilion encourages people to reflect on how we use and manage materials, emphasizes human responsibility in sustainable choices, and explores the possibility of architectural innovation.

During the six-month opening period of the China Pavilion, each province and municipality will hold its own events, but there are not many places that hold events at the "city level".
